The natural wax finish leaves the honey tone of the timber intact rather than layering anything over it, and being reclaimed wood, it comes with a few small chips at the edges and a hairline crack or two in the grain, the kind of marks we leave as found because they're part of the wood's actual history rather than a flaw to fix. At 96 inches it seats eight to ten with room for serving dishes down the center, easy to dress up with a runner and brass candlesticks for a dinner party, or leave bare on an ordinary night so the grain and the clean slab legs can do all the visual work on their own.
