The piece is perfect! My only issue was that the delivery though timely and very kind, for the high price of delivery having to help carry a heavy piece of cabinetry was not what I was expecting. I was nervous to make such a big purchase via Etsy and shipping such a long distance but the coffee table arrived perfectly. This item was beautiful but not as pictured. The metal rod was bent towards the left upon arrival. It was not damaged in the advertisement. I contacted the seller who stated that she would investigate and speak with her employees. She replied the next day that she suspected the damage occurred during shipping and offered a full refund if I wished. I declined since the wooden statue itself was in great condition. I do however disagree that it was damaged during shipping. It was packaged extremely well with no voids between the item and the box. Also the box itself was not bent or damaged. I do not believe that she knowingly tried to sell a damaged item and she acted quickly to rectify the situation. I would consider purchasing from this store again in the future.

I really wanted to love this duvet cover. But I feel like it fell short of it’s description. It does not feel soft and silky; it’s itchy and scratchy. It doesn’t have the smooth, cool feeling of anything else I’ve had that was silk. It’s also not smooth, but rather textured. It reminds me a bad bridesmaids dress; can’t wait to put on something more comfortable when the event is over. The color is beautiful. It has an iridescence, switching from magenta to a dark purple depending on the lighting and/or angle. Customer service was very quick to reply. However, they stated that the duvet gets softer with washing, but it’s dry clean only. I took the risk of washing it, and it definitely did not improve the feel. So, I guess this is ok if you want something decorative only. But don’t expect a sensuous sleeping experience.

These silk runners immediately dress up a table. The colors of the majestic plum and gold enhanced everything on my holiday table and pulled everything together, adding elegance to an otherwise overcrowded setting. Nice looking chairs however they are very wobbly. I had checked with the seller about this before purchase and was assured that they were not so, therefore this may have happened during transport. The chairs will have to be taken apart at the wobbly joints and rejoined in order to be functional. The seller is sharing the cost of this with me 50-50.

These looked quite different in person than in the photos - they are not the same colors (more turquoise on top, more dingy looking, less bright), which is the aspect i found so attractive in the listing. They are also not comfortable to sit on - the top being much more squishy than I anticipated. Had I seen them in person first I would not have purchased. Still, they do add a nice splash of color/ style to the room and I think I will be able to remedy both the color issue and the squishiness by putting a firm cushion on top.

I love this place for many reasons. The style of furniture and home decor is so unique that you can spend an hour or more just looking at the inventory. All the items are Middle Eastern or from India, and all are one of a kind and handcrafted. If you love Moroccan architecture then this place is for you. The prices are quite steep, but the owners have a layaway plan and are extremely helpful and friendly.
If you want to have a unique, beautiful piece of furniture displayed somewhere in the house, then you have to check this place out! Just don't be discouraged by the prices, and think of it as something you'll display for the rest of your life.

I absolutely love the unique rustic pieces this store offers. After moving into our new home several years ago, we were looking for a few special pieces to fill our mostly empty space. I went in, found a reclaimed wood window from India, and they custom designed it into a table based on my size specifications. The piece turned out beautiful and, after adding 2 hot pink club chairs, it became my dedicated jigsaw puzzle workspace. Wish we needed more furniture - I'd be back there in a flash!

I'm so happy I found this store.
It had furniture that I really hadn't seen around and the store itself look so vibrant full of colors, textures and character.
The bench I selected was repurposed from an antique paneled box and it still had remnants of the original painted finish, it worked perfectly in my patio.
They also have unique lanterns and colorful pillows made from vintage throws which I'm sure I'll be using in the near future .
My latest purchase was an antique carved panel and reclaimed teak picture frames which are currently adorning my living room.
I strongly recommend it, it's definitely worth the trip :)

Pasadena needed a store like this. Beautiful furniture and accessories. However, to the best of my knowledge these are not antiques. The furniture may be made with antique pieces or made to look antique but I don't believe these are all antique pieces.
Also, they are overpriced especially for their accessories. One could go on ebay and buy the same props for a quarter of the price.
But if you want a large selection and are willing to pay you can find many beautiful pieces here. Not everything is overpriced, some is quite reasonable. But I have seen the same pieces at other stores that were priced lower.

Gosh, I wish I had more money so I could deck out my whole house with De-Cor's (and it's smaller 'sister' store, Livin' Art) decor. After my friend, Dawn, introduced me to Livin' Art some time ago (where she bought an incredibly beautiful distressed turquoise blue coffee table), she had heard about De-Cor from her friends over at Livin' Art. Dawn needed some curtains, lighting fixtures, etc. so off we headed to De-Cor.
The people who work at both Livin' Art and De-Cor are absolutely lovely and helpful. They have brought some of the most beautiful pieces of Indian furniture right here to Pasadena. Sure, some of the sticker prices may shock you. But where do you think you are - generic Ikea?! Most (if not all) of these pieces are handmade beautiful pieces of art. All things considered, everything in here is very reasonably priced. As Judy S says below, you really can find all sorts of treasures for a variety of prices. If you're looking for ANYTHING to add some spice and charm to your house, from furniture to throw pillows to beautiful scarves, head to De-Cor. I promise, even if you don't buy anything, you'll really enjoy looking. It's like going on a little mini trip to India.

Rude. Saw an interesting photo online with some suzani pillows and decided to stop by and take a look. My daughter and I were followed through the store by a woman working there. At one point I sat down on a day bed and asked my daughter to sit with me to tell me what she thought. As we sat, the woman came over and banged something into the day bed. I was turned the other way and am not sure what it was. There was no apology or comment of any kind. This is not a super small space and it was clear this was not accidental. Very odd and very rude. If I could give zero stars I would.

I love this store. There are so many different things to look at for inspiration within your home. At Christmas time, they have affordable gifts and put them in pretty packages. I have been here several times to purchase candles, scarves, and small things to give away as presents. Prices vary so there are things to scale to each person's budget depending on what you need. In addition, the people that work here seem very friendly and helpful. I really love their pillows and colorful accessories.

This place is amazing! Every piece in the store is unique and beautiful. The pieces are from all around the world and the craftsmanship is excellent. I absolutely LOVE this place... when you walk in you'll be greeted with a cheery hello and a helpful, artistic hand. Each time I return for decorating ideas or to see what else they have available to beautify our home I fall in love all over again.. and again.. and again!
I first fell in love with their smaller shop in South Pasadena. If you venture into that location you'll meet my decorating expert Juhi. She has a wonderful eye for decorating and will show you amazing pieces that will compliment what you have in your home. Recently I worked with her and she created beautiful handmade curtains for our kitchen and living space. They are absolutely stunning! I got the materials from Decor and then worked with Juhi to custom make them for us. I don't regret one cent I spent!!! Totally worth it! I've had other purchase... a stunning torquoise wood table, 2 beautiful hand crafted chairs for our living space and a wonderful orange ceiling light for our kitchen.... believe me I'm NOT done shopping from this place!
If you are looking for furniture, accessories like pillows, rugs, throws..... lamps etc... whatever the decorating need you'll definitely find it at Livin' Art or Decor! They are wonderful and definitely take pride in their customer excellence to ensure you get what you're looking for.... and most of all... I love that I walk away with some pretty unique pieces that the whole land of LA won't have.... it's all MINE!!!!

Just moved a few miles away from this great spot and really love everything they have here. The beautiful bold colors really push you out of your comfort zone when it comes to decor, which is something I needed. Deepali and Ricardo are fantastic at helping you come up with new ideas and they really have an eye for putting things together. Beautiful throw pillows, linens, furniture and a great space to come and get inspired.

As a residential interior designer, I often have the chance to work with different styles. I took one of my clients, a wonderful Indian lady, to shop at DeCor, and we had a great experience. The store is packed with exquisite finds, antiques, and colorful light fixtures. The fabric selection is also stunning. I purchased a couple of antique carvings from India, and with the help of the DeCor furniture maker I had them adapted into a shelf for the area above the fireplace and a furniture piece for the prayer area. I also purchased a few glass lanterns for the master bedroom. I was pleased with the selection of items and the customer service, and I would definitely return to this store.

Would get 5 stars if this review was based solely on beautiful things and great merchandising. Unfortunately, everything is ridiculously overpriced. If you roll like that, good for you. For the rest of us, dip in for a taste of visual inspiration and that's about it.

Ricardo helped me select an armoire and a mirror for our baby's room and they are honestly some of the most beautiful pieces of furniture I have ever seen. Working with De-cor was a great experience- I live out of state but they were willing to take several pictures of items so that I could see how they looked together, helped me customize a stand for the antique mirror and worked to arrange shipping. De-cor has very unique furniture and they have exceptional customer service- I would highly recommend!

Right when my husband & I walked in we felt inspired to decorated every corner in our house. We love everything in this store & wish we had a bigger buget so we would be able to take it all home.
Deepali was such great help to us & also inform us that Decor can also custom make pieces for you with no problem. We can't wait to measure out spaces & come back for something else. ;))

I have known of and worked with De-Cor here in Pasadena, California for several years now. Previously I have worked in theatre design and have a masters in architecture. The space that De-Cor presently occupies is a very interesting one in which to display their unique pieces of furniture, lighting, textiles and larger architectural arches, windows and columns. They are forever getting in new stock and rearranging the space, thus revealing and creativing new and fascinating ways to utilize and portray their items.
They are quite knowledgable about the origin of and details about their pieces. The owner is from India and well versed in the histories of her most unusual pieces. They can and will do custom work, if a client has special needs. I am frequently taking both friends and clients to De-Cor to show them the beautiful space and to see items not seen elsewhere in this area. They and I both come away with smiles and more frequently than not, items to long treasure. I highly recommend De-Cor. They also work often and well with folks who are not in the Pasadena area. Their website is most informative.

Absolutely love this place, its my favorite place ! I get so excited whenever I go there and each time i find more things that I am fascinated with and drawn to. Deepali and Ricardo will take the time to make your experience in their store one to remember, whether you buy there or not. They are very nice and helpful, and both have a great sense of style and design. I just bought an indian swing that i had been eyeing for sometime , its beautiful and is well worth the price. This store redefines fusion. Months ago i stopped in at the original, smaller store (Livin' Art) in South Pas looking for corner shelving. i walked out with an ancient, authentic, beautiful camel saddle which stands angled at a corner of my living room and holds everything an open shelf would hold, only better.
The new, larger De-Cor is all that surprising, but more - architectural pieces of old buildings and actual castles merged with beautifully treated woods to becomes tables, chairs, beds, side pieces, compelling mirrors, sinks, coffee tables...textiles, small wooden pieces, even antique toys -- a child's rocking elephant (!) with a missing tusk. I have paid $39.00 and i have paid $3,000 - every piece, large or small, lifts the heart and opens the mind.
Go see, is what i say - everything there is of value and works with the most modern of other furniture.
No one's going to push or keep on you. Trust them, ask them, browse. they show, they answer, they display, and they retreat so that you can think. They trust their pieces to do the work.

They helped us design a unique coffee table incorporating an antique metal decorative grate covered with a glass top. Then they put us in touch with a furniture maker who built it to the specifications. It came out great. We love it and would use Deepali and her team again.

Absolutely magnificent -- new store in Pasadena--these goods from India, and beyond, will blow your mind. I have been searching for glass mosaic hanging lamps for years (all over the world)---De-Cor has them, in the most vivid colors and eclectic patterns, and they are VERY reasonable priced. Forget about the westside!! Its worth the trip out to Pasadena... I have seen some of the same products selling in Venice, Santa Monica and Beverly HIlls at 5X the price in some cases. I don't know how these guys do it,....I saw a similar lamp at a shop in Beverly Hills for $1500----I ended up purchasing FIVE lamps today at De-Cor for significantly less than what I would have paid for that SINGLE lamp on westside. The fabrics and the colors are awesome. The furniture is beautiful---from old antique doors (in that perfect sun kissed periwinkle blue), to tables, bookcases, night stands, coffee tables, china cabinets. One of the most beautiful furniture galleries in all of Los Angeles--and the staff ROCKS. This one is worth a special trip! Have fun, and take your time. There is so much there to look at!! Sensory overload if you love vibrant color and Indian art/fabric and furniture. This place is what you wished the Dock Downtown WAS, but could never be....A++++
