This is an exclusive antique Damascus mother of pearl wedding chest that is beautifully embellished in floral and geometric motifs. This gorgeous chest has magnificently inlaid work on solid walnut on all sides. This Damascene walnut cabinet features a traditional pattern in which all segments are carved with primitive tools and inlaid with mother of pearl inlay. The technique has traditionally been passed down from generation to generation. This antique dowry chest opens up and has been modified so the front drops downs to reveal and interior shelf. This antique chest shows age with many inlay pieces missing around the design.
