Source from the Northeast highlands of India, this large antique vessel was originally used to store grains. Like most antique pieces found in Nagaland this tall wooden planter was carved from a single log of wood with primitive tools but with great craftsmanship. This beautiful oversize Naga planter has a recently added mother of pearl inlay motif in geometric tribal cross-banded design. This naga pot has a sun-bleached wax finish. It will be beautiful as a planter with a small tree or as a side table by adding a marble or glass top.
