A beautiful antique French which dates all the way back from 1639. This 17th century French trunk features a finely carved front with medieval architectural elements, which includes a triple arch pathway with demi-lune fan windows above them. Carved from chestnut this primitive trunk has a dark brown wax patina. Please note, normal to its age this piece shows warping and previous wood worm damage.
