A rare antique Japanese ship captain's tansu chest mounted on a custom iron stand with a lower shelf. This small 19th century ship tansu chest features its original leather covering on all sides and its original iron hardware. This charming antique leather chest opens to reveal five interior drawers. It has a lovely aged brown finish leather end table with a top iron handle.
