The jali lattice — pierced stone and wood screens used across Rajasthani and Moorish architecture to filter light while preserving privacy — is the starting point for this daybed sofa, translated into a hand-carved floral trellis panel set into the headboard and base rail. Each panel is cut and finished by hand from reclaimed teak, then given a distressed white paint that lets the underlying wood grain show through at the edges. The frame itself is left in its natural warm teak tone, creating a two-tone contrast between structure and screen. Because the teak is reclaimed from older structures, occasional hairline checking is part of the material's history rather than a flaw — DE-COR fills these where needed with teak powder rather than resin. The piece ships with a custom tufted mattress in a cotton canvas cover, sized 100" x 45" to fit the frame precisely.
At 108" long, this is the largest of DE-COR's Jali daybed line — substantial enough to anchor a great room or serve double duty as sofa and guest bed. Pillows and throws shown are for styling reference only. White Glove delivery required.
