The construction is robust and rustic, featuring thick planks of weathered hardwood and original, hand-wrought iron hinges and latches. The layered surface boasts an exceptional multitone patina, with remnants of original paint (soft greens, rust, and brown) peeking through the deeply aged wood. A central, vertical carved plank (or battan) adds a final, textural detail. This shutter is history in its rawest, most tactile form.
