Hand-carved from a local hardwood, this musical instrument from the mountains of Nepal is traditionally called a sarangi or lute. This antique Nepalese sarangi is finely carved with a face handle with two impressive warriors mounted on horses. This antique musical instrument is missing the leather cover and strings but it can still be admire as a piece of tribal art.
