A lovely mid 20th century gilt Shan Buddha carved from a single log of wood. This carved and gilded buddha of the Shan state were commonly used in the prayer hall. Carved from wood, this large Buddha statue is shown in its enlightenment "Bhumisparsha" phase. This vintage Buddha from Myanmar has a beautifully carved expression and sits cross legged on a red and gilt pedestal.
