A Fang Ngil mask. In the Fang tribe the Ngil were agents of social and judiciary order, they wore a  tall mask painted in white, the white color was made from ground kaolin, a soft clay, and refers to the spirit world. Masks like these during the nighttime while protecting the tribe and in ceremonies, these masks were meant to terrify anyone with intentions of wrong doings.
