This contemporary handmade lotus inlay floor mirror measures 48 inches wide, 1 inch deep and 80 inches high. It pairs a frame of reclaimed teak with hand-carved lotus blossoms inlaid in mother of pearl, designed and handmade by DE-COR to lean on the floor against a wall.
Q: How is the mother of pearl lotus inlay made?
A: The reclaimed teak is hand-carved to form the flower shape. Each piece of mother of pearl is then cut and carefully hammered into the carving, so the lotus pattern is set into the wood itself.
Q: How do I place a full-length floor mirror like this one?
A: It leans rather than hangs. Set it on a level floor against a solid wall, in a spot where it will not be bumped. At 80 inches tall and only 1 inch deep, the slim frame suits an entry, a bedroom corner or the wall beside a dresser.
Q: How do I care for the mother of pearl inlay and teak frame?
A: Dust with a soft dry cloth. For smudges on the glass, spray cleaner onto the cloth rather than the mirror so liquid does not reach the inlay or the wood, and avoid soaking the frame.
