This petite vessel features the classic silhouette of a traditional Indian "Lassi Cup"—flared at the rim and bulbous at the base to fit perfectly in the hand. The exterior is crafted from copper with a distinct hand-hammered texture (martelé) that catches the light and hides fingerprints. Crucially, the interior features a silver-toned lining that rolls over the rim. This lining, historically tin (Kalai) but potentially stainless steel in newer iterations, was applied to make the copper food-safe and prevents the metal from reacting with liquids.
