This monumental canopy daybed is a masterwork of sustainable design, meticulously handcrafted from architectural reclaimed teak. The soul of this piece lies in its origin; it's a second life given to vintage timber that has been salvaged and transformed by skilled artisans. By utilizing seasoned reclaimed teak, the bed naturally possesses a structural stability and rich, organic grain that new timber simply cannot replicate. The centerpiece of this design is the intricate, hand-carved floral Jali work. Each panel features deeply recessed floral motifs that create a rhythmic, airy canopy, allowing light to filter through while providing a sense of sheltered intimacy. The base is equally detailed, wrapped in a continuous band of carved floral blocks that ground the piece in traditional Indian craftsmanship. The natural finish highlights the authentic patina of the reclaimed teak, celebrating the unique characteristics of the timber.
Measuring 78" long and standing 88.5" high, this daybed is designed to be the architectural anchor of a room. Its generous 54" x 75" cushion size makes it an ideal sanctuary for a sunroom, a global-inspired master suite, or even a covered patio as a luxurious outdoor lounge.
