51" Long Arcade Teak Architectural Panel (Trade)

Hand-carved from a robust plank of 19th-century teak, this 51-inch lintel features a continuous relief of interlocking pointed arches, reminiscent of the Mughal and Gothic arcades found in the grand palaces and temples of India. Each arch is accented by a delicate lotus base, creating a rhythmic visual "gate" that historically served to define the transition between sacred and secular spaces.
The finish is a warm, raw teak with a sun-bleached character that highlights the incredible density and grain of the antique timber. At over four feet long, this piece is a powerful horizontal anchor, perfect for use as a sculptural header above a window or a minimalist mantel-top accent. Its clean, geometric repetition makes it an ideal fit for Japandi, Modern Rustic, or Architectural Minimalist interiors, where it provides a grounded sense of history without overwhelming the room.
As an authentic architectural salvage piece, "The Sacred Arcade" is presented in its Original Antique Condition. It exhibits significant "earned character," including historical weathering, softened carving details, and the natural edge-notches from its original structural joinery. These marks are the essential hallmarks of its century-long life as a functional architectural element.
