This vintage Buddhist monk carved statue from Burma is a work of art. Its hand carved in wood with a gilded and rouge finish over a lacquered base. It features beautiful facial expressions and stylized rope in a seated praying position. The statue represents Sariputra an important Buddha disciple. The statue show wear, paint loss and cracks but are in good structural condition.
