Part of our curated Punjab Agrarian collection, this antique "Bijani" seeder is a robust sculptural artifact of Northern Indian farming heritage. Hand-carved from solid, seasoned Teak, these flared quadrangular vessels were originally mounted to traditional animal-drawn plow systems to facilitate seed distribution.
Each piece is distinguished by its unique hand-incised geometric "zigzag" and notched motifs—traditional tribal markings intended to bless the field for a successful harvest. The dual integrated "loop" handles allowed for secure attachment to the wooden plow frame. Repurposed as a striking horizontal candle holder or a standalone Wabi-Sabi sculptural accent, these vessels bring a raw, primitive warmth to any curated interior.
