Martaban pots are large glazed ceramic jars originally made in Burma. These martaban jars were originally used to store oil and water that was traded along the silk road. This tall martaban pot has a distinctive simple shape with a wide mouth and a tapered base. This vintage Asian jar has a beautiful deep brown glazed finish.
