Gorgeous and regal, this hand-carved Burmese howdah settee is from late 19th century. This settee was used for sitting atop an elephant, crafted from wood with intricately carved details, with its beautiful rectangular seat and spindled edges, it stands on raised carved legs that for meant to be mounted onto an elephants back. This piece retains its original ebony patina and comes with a cushion covered in printed fabric.
