Rare Antique Syrian Mother of Pearl Dowry Chest (Trade)

This rare and elegant Syrian wedding chest features beautiful mother of pearl inlay work with floral motifs. This piece was at one point modified to have a fall-front opening. It has a primitive dovetail and pegged construction and stands on raised carved and inlay legs. This chest is adorned with an aged patina and with lock and key.
