Colorful Tibetan Kyungbur Cabinet (Trade)
DE-COR | Globally InspiredThis vivid and charming painted cabinet exhibits the raised gesso technique of decoration known as Kyungbur in Tibet. This technique to paint the cabinets is labor intensive and the materials used were gesso, glue, resin, sugar and linseed oil to prevent cracking. This cabinet is beautifully decorated with floral motifs and contains ample storage space with two cabinet compartments and three drawers with metal pulls. The Kyungbur technique is very hard to reproduce making this cabinet a rare piece of art.
