Below, a lower chest of drawers carries pierced iron drop pulls and keyhole plates in a dark painted finish worn at the edges. Two-piece tansu like this were built to separate for moving or storage.

At 66 inches tall and only 17 inches deep, it brings storage to a wall where a wide dresser would not fit, in a bedroom, an entry or a dining room. The sliding-door cabinet holds taller items and the drawers keep linens and smaller things out of sight.
