Antique Chinese Carved Altar Statue

A 19th century Chinese carved polychrome painted altar statue. It was once used in a family altar statue to honor their ancestors. Its a lovely carved statue that has rich character with its worn painted patina. The statue has a serene and calm expression and is holding a small prayer book, it wears a robe garment and sits on a lotus carved altar. This statue has a cut out in the back like it was a part of a larger artifact.
