19th Century Chettiand Indian MirrorDE-COR | Globally Inspired
This 19th century Chettiand mirror is crafted from antique door frame in the district of Tamil Nadu. The lentil of the frame has intricate carvings of annams (swan birds) floating on the sides. The center of the panel has a carved motif of a house with carved white Tika that deotes followers of lord Shiva. This frame retains its original yellow painted patina. Truly a gorgeous masterpiece.
