This rare and elegant Syrian wedding chest features a chip carved front with tribal geometric incised carvings. This piece was at one point modified to have a fall-front opening. It has a primitive dovetail and pegged construction and stands on raised carved legs. This chest is adorned with an aged patina and hand forged brass lock.
