A vintage Chinese ink stone with a beautifully inscribed scene showing a gathering of scholars next to a beautiful tree. This large ink stone was originally used to grind ink sticks. Features a beautiful painted finish in black, gilt and green colors. The reverse side is carved with inscriptions.
