Modern Bohemian Christmas Stockings By De-cor

December 05, 2017 ,

December is finally here and with it comes blankets of snow, glimmering lines of lights,
and delicate glass ornaments upon every tree. The holidays have many symbols of
festivity such as Santa Claus and towering pine trees, but there is one symbol that
is truly unique. The Christmas stocking is hung on Christmas eve with
the belief that it is to be filled with presents from Santa Claus.

Here are De-cor, we have designed custom Christmas stockings using one-of-a-kind
vintage and antique textiles handcrafted from different cultures and tribes.
This beautiful vintage Suzani Tapestry originally handcrafted in Uzbekistan is hand
embroidered on a vintage textile to depict blossoming flora on a bold red background.

The Vintage Kantha Throw features a type of running stitch that is often used by
women in West Bengal to create this light weight cotton blanket layered with aged saris.

This stocking was created using a Vintage Gujarat Kutch handwoven cotton throw which
is decorated with hand-embroidered and tie-dyed designs, collected from the tribes of

Each of our custom stockings here are rich in history, and are the perfect one-of-a-kind
piece to hang from your mantel this holiday season.
